At Boxford CEVC Primary School, the aim of  Art and Design and Design and Technology is to inspire pupils to be innovative and creative thinkers both as individuals and as part of a team. Throughout their primary education pupils develop an understanding of designing, making, creating and evaluating projects so they become reflective thinkers. This experience will enable them to identify needs and opportunities and to respond by developing ideas, and eventually making products and systems and creative works. Through the study of design and technology and art and design, they combine practical skills with an understanding of aesthetic, social and environmental issues, as well as of functions and industrial practices. We provide a knowledge rich curriculum and follow the Kapow scheme of work to ensure there is clear progression throughout the school.
